TIP-040: tBTCv2 Liquidity Mining for Guarded Launch

Okay! Piotr got back to me with clarifications.

The documentation is up to date; so we need at least a c5.large, which is 2 vCPU / 2 GB RAM / 1 GiB Persistent Storage.

Additionally, this is just for v2; the same node should not be running the random beacon or PRE.

Some other considerations:

  • The larger percentage of the stake you have, the more work your computer does (since you’ll be handling multiple seats on multiple wallets).
  • Monitoring should be deployed separately.
  • There also needs to be a connection to electrum/bitcoin, especially if TIP-035 doesn’t pass. Right now, blockstream is providing a public electrum endpoint, but we don’t want all of the nodes pointing to the same endpoint or that becomes a point of failure.
