Hello Threshold community,
I’m Lou from the validator team at Stake Capital Group.
We’re excited to submit Stake Capital’s application to join the Beta Staker program and continue contributing to this ecosystem at the infrastructure level.
In fact, we’ve been hosting and taking care of an optimistic minter for over a year and a half and have enjoyed collaborating with this great team. We have also secured a delegation from a third party for the next 12 months.

Company Description and Relevant Experience
Stake Capital, led by pioneers in blockchain and DeFi, began our journey with mining in 2011, followed by investments in 2013, and building blockchain projects starting in 2015. This path has allowed us to provide high-quality and trustworthy services to our clients and partners.
We are involved in over 150 companies. As active venture capitalists in early phases, we offer incubation and acceleration programs, and engage in quantitative strategies like validation, liquid stacking, and market making.
Our team, dedicated to providing exceptional node and validation services, ensures smooth and efficient operation for the projects we choose to run nodes for. We provide validators on over fifteen blockchains for several years. Our presence is worldwide, with a team based in Europe and the USA.
Country of Operation
Stake Capital is headquartered in Switzerland, benefits from a global team and an extensive support network. Our infrastructure is designed to be robust, diversified, and adaptable, enabling us to offer superior services to a global clientele. Thanks to our strategic presence and collaboration with leading cloud service providers, we ensure optimal performance and availability for the nodes we manage, while adhering to the principles of decentralization and security.
Technical Solution Description
In the context of deploying TACO and tBTC nodes on the Threshold Network, we have available regions including Ohio, Virginia, Frankfurt, and Tokyo through our AWS infrastructure. We utilize custom-built, hardened Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) for enhanced security and operational efficiency.
Our architecture separates testnet and mainnet nodes into distinct AWS accounts, providing clarity and increased security. All credentials are managed via HashiCorp Vault. We use Geth and Besu for execution and Lighthouse, Prysm, Teku, and Nimbus for consensus. Our active participation in the Threshold Optimistic Minter program underscores our commitment to robust and efficient blockchain deployments across these strategic global regions.
Backup and Security Principles
Our infrastructure deployment and maintenance are managed via Terraform on AWS, with primary infrastructure code on GitHub and individual stack deployment files on AWS CodeCommit, supported by AWS CodeBuild and CodePipeline for continuous integration and delivery. Each node stack is independently deployed in its own Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), enhancing security and isolation.
In case of node failure, we quickly redeploy using pre-configured snapshots of data drives, ensuring rapid recovery. Our architecture allows for immediate scaling across additional AWS availability zones and regions, maintaining operational continuity. We secure critical secrets with Vault, configured with detailed policies for each validator or bridge, reinforcing our resilience to system failures and aligning with best practices for disaster recovery in cloud environments.
