Delegating to a Staking Provider

Dear community!

I’m new to Threshold and trying to figure out how this interesting and evolving network works. I’m planning to run my own node and participate in the network, but for now, I would like to try delegated staking.
I have acquired 40,000T to stake by delegating to a Provider, but unfortunately, the link to the “Staking Provider List” from the Staking page doesn’t work, so I can’t find the “Provider Address” to complete the staking form (my own node is not ready yet). Or is delegation no longer available?

Could you help me figure this out? Unfortunately, I can’t connect to Discord as it doesn’t work for me.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome fren! Have you read TIP-098 & TIP-100? These essentially discontinued rewards for stakers for tBTC/Random Beacon, and TACo’s future running on Threshold is going to be changing. I don’t mean to dissuade you from staking, just want to make sure you’re fully aware of what you’re getting involved with.

There is no “delegated” staking on Threshold, in the sense that you can simply stake your tokens on a provider address. You MUST run a node - or negotiate with a staking provider to run a dedicated node on your behalf.

What do you mean by “Discord [as it] doesn’t work for me.” ?

Hi @Vict0r! Thanks for your response. First, I want to ask this: I received several private messages regarding my question, all containing links to “live chats” on very suspicious websites that don’t even have “threshold” in their domain names. This looks a lot like a scam. Is it possible that this forum is full of such scammers? And I received the same offers when reaching out to what was supposedly the project’s official channel on Telegram.

I’m going to read TIP-098 & TIP-100 and will be back. Thanks!

There are scammers everywhere, unfortunately. The Telegram channel is no different. Please ignore all DMs. Try joining Discord again Threshold Network ✜
