Threshold Committee election nominations – first epoch

Greetings Threshold community

I’m @mcitizen42, wholeheartedly accept @Vict0r nomination and thank you for your kind words fren, a pleasure to have had the opportunity to serve along side such passionate thresholders.
Threshold Network holds a special place in my heart and I’m honored to present my application for the Threshold Committee.

Since joining the Threshold DAO, I’ve been an active participant in its governance evolution most recently as a member of the Integrations Guild and the thUSD Steering Committee. With extensive experience across web3 and active participation in Threshold and Paraswap protocols where I’ve driven strategic decisions, forged partnerships and amplified community voices. I feel I’m best prepared to bring my expertise to the Council in its new form. As TIP-103 reshapes our DAO, I’m committed to ensuring our governance and pristine protocol operations remains robust, transparent and forward-thinking further safeguarding Threshold Network role as the most decentralized, trust-minimised BTC bridge, a leader on this position at this time.

Background and Expertise
My skills, governance experience and degen journeys span multiple ecosystems, equipping me with a broad perspective and practical skills, a few notable ones :

Threshold Integrations Guild: Nominated and served to integrate tBTC into DeFi ecosystems, proposed transactions for the guild following security practices implemented across the DAO, updated documentation for the good use of community, chaired meetings for both IG and thUSD, drafted proposals and advocated for interoperability and partnerships (nomination).

Paraswap: As a delegate and Growth Work Group member, I’ve shaped governance, driven good synergies among partners and drafted frameworks among notable ecosystem participants.(nomination)

My wallet citizen42.eth should act as an extension of my experience and activities across web3 where I have contributed to many technical discussions and votes spanning over hundred projects learning how to best balance innovation, risk management and good protocol health as well as DAO operations.
This multi-protocol experience combined with my ability to analyze proposals, build consensus and align visions positions me to oversee Councils Committee strategic direction effectively.

Vision for the Threshold Committee
With TIP-103 streamlining our DAO, the Committee is pivotal in balancing oversight and innovation. Since tLabs proposal has passed I dare to envision Threshold Network as a hub of interoperable DeFi solutions with the Threshold Committee fostering resilience and good decentralised ethos utilising the DAO structure to allow token holders participate in its good functioning.

A few areas I’d like to focus on but not limited to: strategic oversight, risk mitigation, community representation

I am running for the paid seat and pledge to dedicate required hours weekly, attending meetings and staying active on Discord, review proposals and collaborate with current DAO members, supporting Treasury Operations to optimize POL, Marketing Operations to boost awareness and the overall DAO to align governance with community goals.

COI
Transparency drives my approach and as I am active in many web3 projects as token holder and as such I see no issues and no competing protocols that would jeopardize my passion and dedication to tBTC

If ever in need I’ll disclose and recuse myself from votes or participation in proposals if involving conflicts of any kind over prioritising tBTCs interests.

As TIP-103 transitions us to a leaner DAO, my experience and dedication make me a strong fit for the Council Committee. I’ll work tirelessly to mitigate risks, enhance operations and elevate Threshold’s impact furthering tLabs mission in enhancing tBTC and taking the project to a higher scale. I welcome feedback and as always ready to answer any questions from community!
